Dawson renovated Buchanan Towers, a pair of eight-story residence halls on Western Washington University's south campus housing 305 student units. The project was phased across two six-month windows (March through August) while most students were away, allowing one tower to remain occupied while the other was under construction. Upgrades included modernized living spaces, common areas, building systems, and life-safety improvements throughout both towers.
Both towers were delivered on schedule within their respective construction windows, giving 305 student units modernized living spaces, improved common areas, and updated life-safety systems. The phased approach maintained housing capacity for WWU throughout the renovation, a critical requirement for a university with limited on-campus housing options.
From emergency repairs to ground-up builds, Dawson teams deliver across Southeast Alaska and Northwest Washington.
