Projects like SAFV are spirit-lifters because you know that at the end of the job your work makes a difference in people's lives. It went from a dark, dreary and unsafe building to warm, inviting and a positive physical environment that encourages healing and inspiration to improve their lives. We had a fantastic team, all of whom understood the community significance of the project and stepped up to see that the end product met the owner's expectations.

Dawson has proven their ability to strengthen the community in many ways. They give generously, champion initiatives that help people and planet, and directly support multiple community organizations. They are champions of net-zero energy building, solar, rainwater irrigation, green roofs, and responsible waste management. They are hard at work every day on projects small and large and continually find new ways to build a stronger community.

Dawson's staff is professional, organized and very pleasant to work with. I believe they are unique for Alaska, where finding a general contractor with a strong office/project management staff capable of an organized and responsive approach to the high standard and quantity of paperwork involved in larger jobs can be difficult. If we were to do another project in southeast Alaska, our first and only call would be to Dawson.

Dawson Construction's amazing attention to detail has made this building a landmark that will forever be a part of Juneau. The Dawson Construction crew was able to complete the project within budget and within the time frame, working with uncommon requests and needs.

Dawson orchestrated one of the most remarkable construction feats I've witnessed over my 30+ year career. Their leadership, integrity, focus, team approach, and relentless pursuit of excellence were the reasons we opened Whatcom Middle School a full year ahead of schedule.
