The USCG Cutter Homeport Upgrades project was a partnership between Dawson Construction and Mortenson Construction to complete critical infrastructure improvements at the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Homeport in Ketchikan, supporting Coast Guard operational readiness in Southeast Alaska.

Work included upgrading pier extensions to accommodate the new USCG cutter vessel, demolishing and rebuilding a Hazmat Center to current standards, and making minor improvements to existing building spaces throughout the station. All work was coordinated around active military operations and strict federal security requirements.

The upgraded homeport now supports current and future Coast Guard operations in Southeast Alaska with extended pier capacity, a modern Hazmat Center, and improved station facilities, all delivered to federal construction standards while maintaining continuous maritime operations. The Ketchikan homeport is fully mission-ready.
