The Mendenhall Valley Library is a single-story public library situated at the entrance of Dimond Park in Juneau's Mendenhall Valley. Designed as a civic building, the structure features brick masonry that firmly anchors the building on its site, while large glass windows provide transparency and sweeping views of the surrounding mountains, creating an inviting environment for community learning and gathering.

Dawson completed new construction of the 20,600 square foot structural steel building on a concrete foundation. The design balances the building's civic presence with the natural beauty of its setting, making the library both a functional community resource and an architectural contribution to the Mendenhall Valley neighborhood.

The Mendenhall Valley Public Library serves as both a functional community resource and an architectural landmark at the entrance to Dimond Park. The brick masonry gives the building a civic presence that tells the Mendenhall Valley this is a place that matters, while the mountain views through those generous windows make it a place people want to be. For Juneau's most populated neighborhood, Dawson delivered a library that works as hard as the community it serves, a building designed to anchor the Valley's civic life for generations.
