Dawson built the Jilkaat Kwaan Cultural Heritage Center in Klukwan for the Chilkat Indian Village, creating a permanent home to showcase the Tlingit tribe's sacred whalehouse treasures. The scope included all drywall work, two public restrooms, a large display area, a workroom and conference room for tribal use, and a climate-controlled vault for artifact preservation, spaces that honor and protect cultural treasures of immeasurable significance.

The Jilkaat Kwaan Cultural Heritage Center gives the Chilkat Indian Village a permanent, purpose-built home for their whalehouse treasures, protecting these irreplaceable cultural artifacts so they will be preserved and accessible for future generations. The facility has become a destination for visitors seeking to understand Tlingit culture and the rich heritage of Alaska's indigenous communities. The project deepened Dawson's relationship with Alaska Native communities and reinforced the company's reputation for delivering culturally sensitive construction that honors indigenous heritage while meeting modern building standards.
