The Denali Camp C Utilities project included new construction of an 11,300 square foot wood framed emergency services fire management building and annex. The completed building surpassed Dawson's initial goal of LEED Silver status and received LEED Gold certification.

The scope of work included an access road, parking areas, demolition and rebuilding of a vehicle fueling facility, and the general rehabilitation of the utility systems in the C Camp Area of Denali National Park and Preserve. The LEED Gold result proved that sustainable construction and remote wilderness building are not mutually exclusive. It takes a team that takes both seriously.

Fire management crews now operate from a modern, efficient building at one of the most iconic national parks in the world, with rehabilitated utilities, a rebuilt fueling facility, and proper access infrastructure supporting their critical mission. Dawson delivered a facility that meets the National Park Service's operational needs while honoring the environmental values that define Denali.
