Dawson constructed a standalone 13,731 square foot cargo, passenger, and airport office terminal north of Juneau International Airport for Alaska Seaplanes. The pre-engineered metal building houses passenger check-in and cargo and freight distribution on the 9,243 SF first floor, with administrative offices and employee areas on the 4,488 SF second floor. It is a vital transportation hub connecting Juneau to Southeast Alaska's remote communities.
Alaska Seaplanes now operates from a purpose-built terminal that consolidates their cargo, passenger, and administrative operations under one roof, replacing what had been scattered and inadequate facilities. The facility connects Juneau to the remote communities of Southeast Alaska that depend on bush aviation for mail, freight, and passenger service, the kind of lifeline infrastructure that keeps small-town Alaska running. For the communities of Southeast Alaska accessible only by air or water, this terminal is an essential link to the outside world.
From emergency repairs to ground-up builds, Dawson teams deliver across Southeast Alaska and Northwest Washington.
