The Douglas Island Building is a two-story, 42,530 square foot facility housing the Alaska Department of Fish and Game and the Alaska Department of Corrections. Renovations encompassed structural repairs and upgrades, including the addition of a steel joist, structural steel supports, drag struts, stabilization of the existing foundation with micro piles, replacement of the building envelope, installation of a new unitized curtain wall assembly, terra-cotta siding, remediation of hazardous materials, interior finishes, landscaping, and civil, mechanical, and electrical work.
The interior spaces were developed in compliance with the 2013 State of Alaska Space Standards.
