Mendenhall Valley Public Library

Government Project

The Mendenhall Valley Library is a single story public library at the entrance of Dimond Park in Juneau’s Mendenhall Valley. The building was designed to be a civic building, with brick masonry firmly planting the structure on its site, and large glass windows allowing for transparency and views of the surrounding mountains. Work included new construction of the 20,600 square foot, structural steel building on concrete foundation. The completed building was awarded LEED Silver status.
