Dawson completed a cosmetic renovation and fire alarm upgrade of Ridgeway Kappa Hall on the Western Washington University campus in Bellingham. Scope included new flooring, rubber base, paint, lighting, and wardrobes throughout the building, along with refinishing of the entry doors. The multi-person bathroom towers were fully gutted and rebuilt with new flooring, shower stalls, solid-surface countertops, and sinks fitted with modern, water-efficient fixtures.
During construction the team discovered rusted-out plumbing throughout the bathroom towers, and Dawson coordinated the major plumbing replacement as a change order without disrupting the academic calendar. Students returned to a fully refreshed residence hall with modern restrooms, new flooring and finishes throughout, updated lighting, and improved storage, an upgrade that extends the building's service life while enhancing daily comfort for residents and reducing water consumption and operating costs for the university.
From emergency repairs to ground-up builds, Dawson teams deliver across Southeast Alaska and Northwest Washington.
