Dawson built Trillium Landing in Juneau for Juneau Senior Housing Partners, a 45,000 square foot, four-story wood-framed apartment community with 49 units serving independent-living seniors. The design puts independent living first, giving seniors their own fully equipped apartments in a building purpose-built for aging in place. Forty-one of the apartments are income- and rent-restricted affordable housing, with the remaining eight as fair-market units.
The mix includes 5 studios, 35 one-bedroom, and 9 two-bedroom apartments, each with a full kitchen and in-unit washer and dryer, providing independence and convenience for senior residents. The project was designed to ease Juneau's competitive housing market and give local seniors a dignified place to age in place.
