Dawson replaced and expanded the apparatus bays at Juneau's Glacier Fire Station adjacent to the international airport, delivering a new 22,000 square foot facility with substantially more operational space to serve the airport and surrounding community. The project required careful coordination with active airport operations and FAA requirements, work Dawson managed without interrupting emergency response capabilities at any point during construction.

Juneau's new aircraft rescue and firefighting station delivers the operational space and modern capabilities the airport needed, without a single minute of interrupted emergency response coverage during the entire construction period. The expanded apparatus bays accommodate current and future ARFF vehicles, and the facility meets all FAA standards for aircraft rescue response at a commercial airport. The measure of success here is simple: the fire trucks never stopped rolling.
