Dawson relocated BP's Cherry Point Refinery maintenance operations to a new 20-acre facility in Blaine, Washington. The industrial complex features a maintenance shop, warehouse, and administrative offices designed to support ongoing refinery operations with improved logistics, equipment storage, and worker safety infrastructure.
BP Cherry Point now operates from a modern maintenance facility that improves the efficiency and safety of ongoing refinery support operations. The 20-acre complex provides the space, logistics infrastructure, and worker facilities that a major refinery operation demands. The real story is the safety record: 230,000 hours without a recordable incident. That is 230,000 hours where every worker went home healthy, and Dawson's CHASE Gold Partnership recognition confirmed what the jobsite already showed. Safety is not a program, it is how the crew works.

The project was a huge success for the refinery mainly due to the level of experience that Dawson provided, as well as their ability to meet the challenges of the refinery's extremely high Safety Bar. Working inside the refinery can be a very difficult process for a company who has not done so in the past but Dawson was able to meet and exceed the challenge by working 230,000 hours without an OSHA recordable and did not even record a first aid incident.
From emergency repairs to ground-up builds, Dawson teams deliver across Southeast Alaska and Northwest Washington.
