Dawson Construction managed the complete replacement of grandstand facilities at Blaine High School, delivering new bleacher structures and four structurally independent, single-story, wood-framed support buildings serving as public restrooms, concessions, a ticket booth, and equipment storage at the football field.

Dawson's scope included construction of footings, anchor bolts, and associated site work for the new bleacher foundations. The school district separately contracted Southern Bleachers to fabricate and install the bleacher seating. This collaborative approach required careful coordination between Dawson's site work and the bleacher installation to maintain project timelines.

A critical challenge of this project was maintaining student safety throughout construction, as the site sits between the school locker room and the active football field. Extra safety precautions were implemented to allow students to continue using the field while school was in session, requiring constant communication between the construction team and school administration. The installation went smoothly, keeping the project on schedule for fall sports, and the district got the durable, well-designed facility they needed without the operational disruptions that plague many school construction projects.
