Bakerview Family Housing

Dawson built the $10.3 million Bakerview Family Housing development to address critical affordable housing needs for farmworkers and their families in Whatcom County. The new construction consists of three four-story wood-frame buildings with a total of 75 residential units ranging from one to four bedrooms. The community-focused design includes shared outdoor spaces, a playground, community room, and laundry facilities, creating a neighborhood, not just housing.

Bakerview Family Housing now provides 75 affordable homes for farmworker families in Whatcom County, the people who harvest the crops, tend the berries, and keep the region's agricultural economy running. The community spaces have become the social heart of the development, with the playground and community room seeing daily use. It is one of several affordable housing projects Dawson has delivered in Bellingham, reflecting the company's belief that everyone in the community deserves well-built housing, regardless of income.
