DESCRIPTION: Design and construction of a national federal facility to house the Pacific Northwest Research Station, Juneau Forestry Sciences Lab, Forestry Service State and Private Forestry, scientists from Alaska Coastal Temperate Rain Forest Center and administrators for three experimental forests. The newly built lab is located on a seven-acre parcel of federal land that was reserved in the 1960s for the purpose of U.S. Forest Service research and administration.
