Dawson worked as a joint venture with Layton Construction on the PeaceHealth Ketchikan Medical Center. The phased project included renovations to the existing health care facility as well as an 80,000 square foot, four-story addition. The 1st floor houses new mechanical and electrical rooms as well as an MRI suite. The 2nd floor is a dedicated patient parking garage. The third and fourth floors provide staff and patient rooms and 4 new operating rooms.
The hospital was occupied during construction, requiring Dawson to coordinate work with PeaceHealth as not to disrupt operations.
