Ketchikan Shipyard Improvements

Industrial/Infrastructure Project

This high profile project is able to accommodate 95% of the marine vessels operating in the Southeast region and offers streamlined, modern ship production facilities with additional infrastructure to handle multiplying projects.

Dawson completed this complex project in phases over a three year time period. Scope included the construction of a new 120′ assembly hall, production center, steel shop, and a two-story operations office building, as well as the relocation of the existing oily water facility and site utility improvements.

Value engineering reduced the cost from $40 to $28 million, providing expanded scope options for the owner.
